YENS
Almost 20 years later.
In 2007, Reims-based duo 37500 Yens released Astero through Distile Records: eight instrumental tracks suspended between noise rock, math rock, repetition, tension and deconstruction.
After touring extensively across France and sharing stages with Zu, Joe Lally and Explosions in the Sky, 37500 Yens established a sound that was at once physical, exacting and fiercely free.
On Ocotber 09, 2026, Astero finally receives its first vinyl edition, accompanied by three previously unreleased digital bonus tracks from a second album that remained in the vaults.

“A revelation.”Perte & Fracas
“Astero sets the bar high...”XSilence
“Powerful and controlled.”Metalorgie

The magic never happened twice.
After Astero, the band tried to recreate the singular recording process behind the first album: microphones everywhere, capturing the room, the amplifiers, the drums, the air and the accidents.
The songs were strong - including one featuring Sascha Andres of Heliogabale - but the sound kept slipping away. Attempts accumulated, life moved on and perfectionism took over. The record remained unfinished.
Three of those songs now accompany the vinyl as digital bonus tracks: traces of a story left hanging for almost twenty years.
